I find the lean and fit look to be attractive in men and women....so those are the ones I notice most where I live. Not to say there is an abundance of people like that, but we tend to pay more attention to what looks good to us while ignoring the rest, IMO.
Where I live, women flock to the "tall, dark, handsome" stereotype but it can be hard to say. There are a lot of Scands and Germans here, so it's common to see taller blonde men or men with brownish hair and a variety of eye color. Most women here like tall, with slight to muscular build. Most women do not like the "nerdy" look but if you're hipster and live in Uptown, that's good. Beards are hit and miss, depending on how hipster or masculine you are.
I always thought the really hunky men who had masculine facial features and bodies were attractive. For a lot of women here, that's not the case. It also depends on what race you are. What white women find attractive won't be the same as black women, or Asian women.
That's interesting. I would like to here more. What do you think each type of these women would like?
From what I've observed, black women prefer men who are more built, tall, and very masculine. A lot of them don't seem to care for facial hair-- that's what some have told me, at least. The hipster look doesn't do it for most of them, but there's always some who are exceptions. Well-groomed is a plus. If you look like Tay Digs, or Idris Elba, even better. Asian women seem to like the well-groomed, but less rugged looking and more sharp and sophisticated. Height is a major plus. Not much hipster love, either. IMO, white women have more varied tastes, and grooming can be from clean-cut to super beardy. Most of the white women I know would say the same.
