I'm not talking about skin that's so dry that it looks like you rubbed it on a chalkboard, I'm talking about a patch or two of dried skin on your hands, arms, or legs.

Do you think they are lazy? Have poor hygiene in general? Unattractive?

List your race/ethnicity with your reply, if you don't mind. Checking to see just how much is this is a cultural issue.

This post has to be the bottom of the barrel about the way other people are.

FYI.... there are conditions of the body that make patches of dry skin. You are lucky if you are one of the perfect health people.

Ummm...I'm the person with the dry skin. I was recently told that I need to take care of the "issue" or people will judge me. In so many words.

I had a very small patch of dry, flaky skin on my face for a couple of weeks, once. Well-meaning strangers where constantly coming up to me, telling me to wipe it off. One well-dressed older woman walked up to me out of nowhere, and barked, "EXFOLIATE!", and walked away.

People are weird. It's just a little dry skin, it's not some deformity, or something. Honestly, I don't understand. What's the big deal?

The person who told you that is an a**hole and you need to remove him or her from your life.
