Late teens - in the early 80's....my favorite outfit was an old lady dress from the thrift shop, fishnet stockings and black converse hi-tops.

Another favorite, black skinny pants with a huge men's shirt (i was 120 lb female wearing 42/44 size mens shirt) and black combat boots...my mom used to say "you look like a effin' clown" ahahaaa)

good times

Gather 'round, children, and hear my tale.

T'was the late 1960s. I received, to my utter joy, white knee-high boots one Christmas. Straight from that exclusive fashion emporium, J. C. Penney. So very go-go, so very "Mod Squad." I wore them outdoors that very Christmas afternoon. Alas, being vinyl, a crack appeared across both toe lines because of the cold. Thus endeth my short career as a happening chick.

red clogs, oh yes they looked great but omg were they uncomfortable, paired (of course) with purple hot pants and feathered hair.

So glad the 70's are gone forever

The 80s were one huge fashion mistake for me, too! A bad decade of frizzy hair, shoulder pads, and those hideous high waisted, pleated pants. Yuck.

I bleached my hair platinum, put a giant bow in it, wore way too many accessories and basically was a Madonna look-alike in the 80's.

Those harem pants (parachute pants, but cotton) in the '80s. I was very slender, but NO ONE looked good in those things. I'd wear them with an equally ill-fitting, loose peasant blouse.

I still can't believe I abandoned my originality in that same decade when the "preppy" look caught on and I wore those button-down Izod shirts in every pastel color available. What a bore!

We always look back and think the stuff we wore in the past was bad. Ten or twenty years from now, we'll say the same thing about what we're wearing today.

I think the human mind is trained to like what it hasn't seen in a while, and grow tired of what it has seen so much of. That's why fashion trends see-saw back and forth.

One thing I hate is excessively baggy clothes. I went with the baggy look for a while, though not to an extreme degree. I find that now I very much like the slimmer (not skinny) look. I also hate the trend of wearing pants down too low, but I have never done that.

Eventually, we'll grow tired of the slimmer look and go back to baggy again.
