I have a series of threads I'd like to do on specific aspects of male beauty standards, I hope all of you will enjoy participating and discussing what society has deemed as beautiful for men. Sexual orientation does not matter. Conversations may include sexual maturity. I'd like thoughts from all walks of life.

I'd like to start with hair

1. What are the best places for men to have hair? Much to none on the pubes? Very little on our armpits? plenty on our arms and legs? What about our pecs and 6/8-packs? beards? face? the top of our heads?

2. What is more attractive hairy or shaved? and please explain why you think so and why you think society may think so. You can say both or neither if you want.

3.To women what does society deem as successful when it comes to hair on the male body? What about men who like men's hair standards?

You can share your own opinions and thoughts if you like, but I also want you to tell me what you see the society of your country and/or the world deems as "good hair" on a mans body.

Are you a potential cosmetic dermatologist? You don't have hypertrichosis (Werewolf syndrome) do you?
Seriously, male "Hair" beauty standards didn't concern me (as man) in my youth nor in my adult years. I do care about grooming and cleanliness, as having grown up in household with older sisters found that those were the most important things to women in general. The hair itself is more a preference thing of 'typology' from my observation of listening to women over the years. Also, if you use the mass media I surmise the "Fabio" look is the promoted typology for female blue prose literature.

As for society / culture in USA, now it is so varied I don't think it matters as much as it once did. Certain hair (head) lengths tend to connote 'types', as do facial hair styles, but if you are in any cosmopolitan major city, I don't think it will phase people much either way unless you go for an outlandish 'look at me' style.

I know what I like in men, and I know how I like to look, and the only peoples opinion that matter- are those who like what I'm doing.

I tend to reject people who bring up "society" when it relates to fashion/fitness/beauty. Those things are individual choices not something that is dictated by "society" no matter what weak minded easily influenced people seem to want us to think.

Wow, what a "crazy-ass" question - I am almost tempted to answer. I think I will, I'll just say what I personally like -

full head of hair, not too short or long (top of head)

nice hairy forearms and legs, but not on chest or back

no shaving of the pubes.

I have NO idea what "society" thinks of men's hairy parts!! LOL

Everyone is different. Ultimately one just has to decide what they personally prefer for themselves and if others dont like it then tough. Its your life, live it without regrets.

I have no idea what "society" thinks, can only offer my own opinions:

body hair = leave it alone.
head hair = ditto- leave it alone. but use shampoo and brush/comb regularly.
facial hair = get rid of it. clean-cut = attractive.

To each their own, but these are my opinions.

For people to act like they have some god damn since, at least a few had some decency.
