As seen here: Fall Capes - 14 Ways to Get The Cape Look

And no, it's not just for ladies. You'll note the pretty healthy search result for capes on Asos.com in menswear:

Also, Antonio Banderas is going to fashion school and one of his goals is to bring capes back to menswear. (Yes, really)
Antonio Banderas Wants To Make Men's Capes For A Living. Seriously.

So, ladies and gents, are you ready for this? Because it's happening.

They're certainly easier for ladies to pull off, at least by current fashion standards, but I'm not writing them totally off.

For women, this asymmetrical one from the out-in-less-than-a-week Uniqlo/Lemaire collaboration is pretty awesome:

I think this one is pretty cool and would not be that hard to pull off. I wish it didn't only come in beige, though.

I love my cape! I want another one. Not sure how I feel about it for me though.

I have this rain poncho which I think works in a unisex way.

Sounds like an interesting idea. More choices are always good. Maybe a cape with a zip off capelet so you'd be able to have different lengths. What about pockets, though?

Didn't James Brown wear a lot of capes?

Apparently they made him feel good - like he knew that they would.
