This weekend I decided to find a few dress options for holiday parties.

I might have found a winner, but there are a few more on the way I ordered from my fave stores.

This one is a keeper - I'm sure I'll find an excuse to wear it... (Or I have a few friends it'll work for)

Sheath Wrap Dress - Colorblock - New York & Company

What are you wearing to the parties this season?

it depends on the type of party. My work party and the other more formal party I go to, I'll wear a nice tailored suit (i like blue or a noticeably patterned heavy-weight grey around the holiday time) with some festive socks and maybe a festive pocket square. For less formal gatherings, I'll go with nice boots, fitted chinos, and a a festive sweater (not a 'tacky' christmas sweater, but a more on-trend pattern...which will probably be considered tacky in another 5 years lol) over a nice oxford. I tend to wear my thicker rimmed glasses this time of year too.

I have a sleeveless black chiffon dress that's my winter party dress. I've got a bunch of different shawls, shrugs, and jackets that go with it.

Speaking of parties, I just went to one this past weekend, It was a Prom Redux for most of us some 30 years later. Big fun. My dress was pink and black. A last minute buy, won't do that again, so I say. But, I recall someone mentioning in another thread about the bust size in dresses not being cut full enough, this is so true, so once again, my cup runneth over and the scarf wasn't any help as it kept twisting out of place.

Not sure what I'm wearing for the holidays though, may just pull out a few oldies that haven't had wear more than once in their lifetime, but are pretty nice from floor length to cocktail length. Or may get into the mood to shop for something new. I'm not there just yet.
