I previously did a thread on Christmas, so now I will do one for Valentine's Day.

Currently, I plan to wear an IZOD Advantage Polo in Fairy Tale Pink, together with a pink hoodie and pink baseball cap. It is my tradition to wear pink on Valentine's Day, just as I have a tradition to wear red on Christmas.

BTW, I did deviate a bit from my originally planned Christmas wear. While I did wear a Real Red IZOD Advantage Polo on Christmas Day, on Christmas Eve I actually wore a red Chaps dress shirt to a party. So I don't wear IZOD 100% of the time. As Christmas gifts, I got two U.S. Polo Assn polo shirts (one piqué in medium pink, one interlock in dark pink), and an IZOD stretch gingham button down shirt in a color called Rapture Rose (a reddish pink color).

I will definitely be wearing something pink. Probably something simple during the day, like skinny jeans with my light pink sweater and my tall light brown boots. I'll look for something a little nicer to wear that night for "date night" with my hubby, like maybe a pink dress of some sort.

In that V-day is on a Tuesday, I will wear whatever I usually wear to work.

At 61 it really isn't a big deal. Maybe my hubs and I will go to Taco Bell or something.

Yep. I'll wear a standard work outfit. Then I'll go home and put on yoga pants and a t-shirt. No different than any other Tuesday.

Nope. He just has a weird obsession with pink and polo shirts.

No. I just find them to be the best balance between price and quality. I don't like to spend a lot of money on high-end brands, but don't like buying clothes from stores such as Walmart or Target except for basic clothing such as T-shirts, socks, and underwear. In addition, brands such as Ralph Lauren tend to run small on me except if I get a 2XB size (which is larger than their XXL size).

Note that as I mentioned in my op I don't wear IZOD 100% of the time. I have a few U.S. Polo Assn shirts (probably my second most common brand), and not just those that I got as gifts this past Christmas. I also own some Nautica and some Chaps (which ironically do not run small on me even though they are owned by Ralph Lauren), one pink Tommy Hilfiger polo, and one pink Greg Norman golf polo. In addition, I have two long sleeve interlock polo shirts by Lands' End (one in pink and one in red).

Go out on Valentines day? Yeah, no. I've been on this no carb diet for two weeks now and I would kill for a pizza right about now. Staying home, wearing something comfortable, ordering a pizza, and watching a movie on the home theater sounds like heaven. Even better with a good bottle of bubbly. We're retired so we like to go to restaurants one week days when nobody is around.
