So would you rather have straight yellow teeth or slightly crooked white teeth(meaning 1 or 2 teeth out of alignment) and you can't straighten the white teeth and you can't whiten the straight yellow teeth. So which one would you choose?
I could whiten straight yellow teeth... however, if they are really yellow, they are probably not healthy and the amount of whitening required would probably destroy most of my enamel, which would mean my teeth will fall out in my 70s... hmmm.... I would rather have healthy crooked teeth and get braces.
Since you said the yellow teeth could not be whitened (which would have been my choice)
I'd deal with slightly crooked but white teeth...yellow really ages you as you get older, I
whiten my teeth even now at 66....
And as for the "can't straighten the white teeth " - you can with braces.
The OP was setting up a challenge for you - to pick one or the other, but not both.
Yes, people can straighten white teeth. But in the OP's scenario, the criteria is limited. I could also get straight yellow teeth and have veneers put on, but that'd be "cheating" in the OP's criteria too.
If it were me, I wouldn't do either. I'd keep my yellowed, slightly crooked teeth, and save my money until the teeth were more crooked, OR showed signs of decay. I'd save it for the day I really -need- to do something about my teeth, rather than waste it on cosmetic fixes and then not have the money to afford work that I actually might need. Or, I'd use it on a professional dental cleaning, full set of x-rays, diagnostic to ensure my teeth are in good shape (other than cosmetic issues).
Also, having had zoom whitening that resulted in permanent sensitivity and my teeth reverted back to their original creamy hue - I'd never get whitening again. If any of my teeth turned an ugly color and it was just a cosmetic thing and not a dental issue - I'd get veneers.
