I own a pair of white canvas sneakers from Old Navy. They come in a bunch of colors and are very popular and I really do like them.

They are very cute but they are also very uncomfortable after maybe a half hour. So I can't walk in them all day.

I want a second backup pair of white canvas sneakers to travel in. So they MUST be walkable as I intend on wearing them on an upcoming trip out of the country. Any recommendations on a plain solid white canvas sneaker that is comfortable?

I tried on a pair of Converse in Nordstrom Rack...those things were hard as a rock on the inside! Like puttinng your foot inside of a shoe box instead of a shoe. Maybe I got a bad pair of something because I know Converse is mad popular.

I started looking at Vans and Superga...they have plain all white canvas sneakers but I'd like some recommendations on brands that have the most comfortable ones.

PF Flyers.

Same styling as Converse Chuck Taylors, but a much more padded insole and heavier duty sole.

Did you try on the Vans? I find them to be very comfortable, probably my favorite casual shoe.

I've had good luck with Sketchers. They're my go-to for casual athletic footwear, since they usually have better support than most other brands.

I thought about Skechers but I'm not seeing any in the style I want...which is a plain white lace-up canvas style.

I love Sketchers, too. I got a pair of Filas with memory foam insoles and they are very comfortable as well.

I love Sketchers but they don't have (as far as I know canvas type) - good 'ole Keds still does!

I've always found Keds very comfortable. There are different styles of Keds and the ones with the thicker soles are heavier to provide more support. But everyone's feet are different, so you'll need to try on different brands.

If you plan to wear them on the plane, I'd look for something with elastic laces to make it easier to slip off and on during the security check.
