For men, is there really a fashion etiquette for wearing shirts (tucked in) in the office or out with a client? I love the new store/website Untuckit. Those shirts look amazing! They look tailor-made and the shirt falls perfectly at the waist and is stylish.

Would employers accept this style of shirt in the office? Or, would there be some unwritten rule that says all shirts must be tucked in?

I say, wear them untucked.

My SO wears them. I agree, they are made well and look flattering.

He wears tucked-in shirts while in the office, but Untuckit shirts out on job sites or on casual Fridays.

Employers will vary on this. Nothing wrong with asking.

I would think they're only casual Friday appropriate. Not sure they're good for client meetings.

Too casual. Most people are not used to the untucked shirt, in business.

If you want to look like a retired dentist or barber living in Florida, go ahead.

My husband doesn’t tuck, because he thinks it makes him look fat. My opinion is, he is just as fat either way and it’s not fooling anyone. He is a healthy weight, but he does have a pot.

My own personal style would be any shirt with tails is tucked in. The exception would be a flannel or chamois shirt worn as an overshirt in place of a jacket. Any T-shirts, henleys or polo shirts I wear untucked.

Always untucked when carrying concealed (Legally, with permit and constant up to date training)

There's several YouTube videos on proper fit of shirts like t-shirts as well as polo's or other semi 'dressy' shirts when they are untucked. The bottom hem should go no lower than around where the top of your side pockets start. Anything lower and it looks plain sloppy and ate up.

I don't tuck my shirts in unless I'm wearing a suit (obviously). So pretty much most of the time I only wear t-shirts and polo types since we don't have any formal dress code in our work space outside of the obvious nothing with offensive type slogans or anything racy.

Depends how you rock it. Untucked dress shirts only if your sleeves are rolled up or the very least your cuffs. Polo shirts look nerdy tucked in but some nerdy guys who are skinny can pull it off.
