The article in the OP shows many gold and silver combinations in the same pieces and even with rose gold.

Of course there is no fashion police. Far from that, I see today's styles as being very flexible and the old "rules" often violated to good effect. In fact that's what this topic is about, violating what once was considered a rule that you don't mix the two metals.
