I know it does you no good to lie about your height here, but based on what you're saying about how clothing fits you and your measurements, it sounds like you should be about 5'5".
No I am 5'8"
That is why I find it baffling

Are there no online communities for guys of your size to share information and tips for shopping? You may be smaller than the average guy in North America or Europe, but internationally slightly built men aren't all that uncommon.

It is baffling because your numbers just do not add up.

If I measure myself again t could possibly be 5'7 height, but I am definitely not shorter than that

The actual frame of my body (small bones) plays a role in dimensions. So clothes look loose/ baggier on me even though I technically may "fit" it

When I shopped in Japan and Hong Kong, I found even the S adult sizes were generally still too big. Though I like a trim fit, so they still seemed too big on me (like baggy/ sloppy as I have a small waist etc)

Again, wandering around the streets of Japan/ HK, I found myself "average" in height, but still lighter in weight than average Asian men.

As mentioned, the younger generation of Asian guys, it is not unusual to see them 6' and taller.

You're absolutely certain you aren't 5'5"/5'6"? When was the last time you actually had your height measured?

Yes, if you are small boned and men's size small clothes are too big on your body, then to answer your question yes, you are small. But the problem is the a-holes who have ridiculed you about it.

Then you're just going to have to get things altered. Trust that many people are only able to have well-fitting clothes because of tailoring.

Op, you’re a small guy in general but if you’re Asian you’re actually average

If people are calling the OP “petite” it has nothing to do with his weight but rather height (5’3” or under) “tiny”

At 5 8” they should calling the OP .. skinny. If 27-28” inseams bunches up at the bottom and small men’s T-shirt sleeves go past the elbows, someone is probably 5 3” - 5 4”. My brother who is 5 4” has the exact measurements as the OP.

Maybe a pic, OP will help?

Well, don't just eat more. Usually weight gain doesn't go where we want it. My ex was 6'4" and skinny and when he gained 20 lbs. it all went to his gut and thighs. LOL, not an improvement.

DH is quite skinny at 6' and 140 lbs. I hate it, but he just doesn't gain. He eats healthy. Despite being skinny, his waist is still 34"---just wide there, I guess. I'd give anything if he'd get some tailored pants or well-fitting jeans. Instead pants are just a big sag in the butt. But nothing snug for him!

Tailor your pants, at least.
