Anyone know of any decent lightweight leather purses? As I get older some of my nice leather bags are getting kinda heavy for my screwed up (from multiple car accidents) neck and I have some Bagallinis (sp?) but prefer a decent leather bag.
I think all leather is going to be heavy. I've switched to bags with a shorter strap so the strap is either on my arm by the elbow, or on my shoulder but with the weight of the purse supported between my arm and body. I'm sure it would be more practical to give up leather, but to me a bag isn't nice if it isn't leather.

Lightweight leather implies poor quality, IMO. Lightweight leather is often not leather at all or is an inferior form of leather, such as bonded leather. If you want a lightweight weather resistant handbag material, I suggest nylon instead of a poor quality leather bag. I have a small black nylon Botkier bag that can handle everything and never looks dirty. Nylon is easy to clean, water resistant, and is good for all seasons.
Scooby, not true at all. It is a lot harder and more labor intensive, more expensive to make lightweight leather.
