Hello,

Does a guy having a bread give off the impression that he looks homeless ?

Also does a long beard attract bacteria?

Neatly trimmed and groomed short beards often make men look distinguished, IMO. Long beards make men look like they don't care anymore or are hillbillies, IMO.

But others will have different opinions.

If it’s not groomed....or it’s long....yes......

I don’t like hipster beards on guys.....I totally don’t get that “fashion statement”.....it’s unattractive IMO..

But....I’m attracted to facial hair or a shadow on my fiancé......that looks very manly....

A neatly trimmed beard looks fine. Long scraggly beards make a guy look homeless?

I'm not sure where the whole attracting bacteria thing came from. Bacteria is everywhere, beard or not, and we have hair other places on our bodies. Beards are just hair, and there's nothing inherently dirty about them. They need to be washed and kept clean like the hair on a guy's head.

It's hair.

If you don't trim it into some sort of shape and it's filthy, sure. It's all style so personal. I stick with a short beard as it's a lot easier. Once you start going medium to long you really need to start giving it some structure imo as the face bush isn't a good look anymore than the haven't got a hair cut in six months isn't. Basically sort of like a fade, shorter at the temples and cheek line gradually going to longer That's a lot harder to do than just grabbing clippers and slapping a guard on and having at it which is what I do every week or so.
