I saw an advertisement that men are now carrying handbags because they have so much stuff like hand sanitizer, masks, etc. and can't fit it all in their pockets. It's called a murse instead of a purse. Seems kind of weird to me but..........I guess the days of women carrying everything in their purses for everyone else is over. Would you guys out there carry a purse?
I've seen a lot of younger guys using a computer bag as a purse. I would think with today's skinny jeans it would be a lot more practical than trying to stuff everything we carry these days into their pockets.
As for the topic of purses for men - I can't imagine the men in my life (hubby, son, brothers) using one but if someone feels comfortable wearing one, it wouldn't bother me. Remember fanny packs? They had a short life span.
My hub has needed one for years but will not get one. A messenger bag would do the job but no he's too manly.
So I'm the one that has everything with me in MY purse.
Yes he wears skinny pants and can only fit his phone in them nothing else.
The car is his purse with hand sanitizer, etc.
'purse' carries a feminine connotation, when in fact, people in general have stuff to carry. There's a lot of ways to get around calling it a murse, or a purse, or whatever. How about a small backpack, or a book bag, or a messenger bag, etc.?
