I was wondering, what do you think is the future of the Chaps brand? Ralph Lauren decided to fully license out the brand, and Chaps did lose its main retailer (Kohl's) and is no longer sold on Amazon after a pilot project. Now Chaps is selling at Walmart and is heavily dependent on off-price stores for sales.

Does anyone think Chaps could eventually be sold outright? I think WHP Global could be a potential suitor for the brand.

Damn! I liked the brand, bought a few things at Kohl's over the years. I noticed they are no longer at Kohl's. Selling at Walmart?????? I don't buy any clothes at Walmart. I have more to say but I am wiped out after many days of dealing with "customer service" of 2 technologies I use, that I am forced to use.

In addition to Walmart, Chaps is still selling at Belk. In addition to select Walmart stores, they have gone all-in on the off-price channel and are ubiquitous in stores such as Ross and T.J. Maxx. The brand has faced a serious devaluation for sure. However, some dishonest online sellers occasionally try to price gouge the brand due to its affiliation with Ralph Lauren.
