I like to see chino shorts, short sleeve button-up coton shirts, and Teva style sandals or Birkenstocks

If I see a guy wearing a tee shirt and shorts, I see a guy giving himself permission to enjoy a nice day.

Let's be real. Any successful man rarely gets days off entirely to himself......

That doesn't sound too successful to me.

That entirely depends on how you define 'successful'. Successful to me might mean having the freedom to have days off on a regular basis.

Khaki shorts, polo shirt, docksiders worn without socks. Showing my southern roots here. I'd never seen a man wearing a wifebeater until we moved to Pennsylvania.

The model "regular guy" look nowadays is chino shorts and a fitted t-shirt or polo with no show socks and an airy light runner.

Everything seems to be more streamlined, less material, no more excess puffy look.

Remember how those big cargo shorts were all the rage. I actually quite like them, but it's difficult to find a good pair nowadays.

I agree and as a guy find it the most comfortable in 90 degree weather. The suggestion of shoes minus socks in that kind of weather enables not only blistering but sweaty enclosed feet....gross.
