I voted "YES" the on this election. I believe this is an important step for Springdale, not just Springdale School District. I hope the school district will try this again, maybe with more explanation. I don't want to "throw" our tax money at anything. We have over 18,000 kids in our school district, that's a lot of futures. Springdale needs so many things, but the schools are one thing that has went "pretty good". I think Springdale sent the school district a message, a message that we won't just hand over money every time you ask without a great reason.

I hope the Springdale School District will bean open book with what is going on with our kids, with our money, and with their intent.

There is always room for improvement, and I believe in the Springdale School District.

The future of Springdale is up to us, the citizens of Springdale. WE care about Springdale, WE live here, WE work here, WE raise our kids here. Springdale is what WE make it.

I'm not a Springdale cheerleader, I know if we want a better Springdale we have to make it!

I expect them to have another election soon, probably cut the increase in half and eliminate all or most of the portion going to athletics. Similar to what happened in Fayetteville, though in FYV the sweetener was cheap bonds. Fayetteville's own shoot-the-moon millage increase failed, the more realistic one passed. Expect the same to happen in Springdale.
