Anyone know what the far east Springdale is like, particularly Blue Springs Village? I know certain internet folk make it sound like the whole of Springdale is a lawless swamp, save for Har-ber area on the west side of the freeway. However I've seen so many pretty parts of Springdale, and I've no problem with diversity and multi-racial relationships, but NOT a fan of gang violence/property crime/etc. However, I did grow up in SE Oklahoma (Ada) So my vision of "nice neighborhood" may be a bit skewed. According to internet ratings, Ada, OK is super unsafe.

Thoughts?

Cheers,
OkieDaddy

I am not an expert on Springdale but I do know the entire city isn't as bad as some say. There are parts that I wouldn't want to spend much time in or live in for sure. Yes, Har-ber is probably one of the better parts of the city.

... From my experience most of the areas along 265 are less than ideal for me. If you keep going just a bit east it becomes less populated and nicer to me. I am unfamiliar with blue springs so I can not comment. Between 49 and 265 you have wide mix of nice areas and not so nice. Give us a specific street and we can give you an idea of the area.

For what it is worth, Springdale has some of the best local restaurant selections in the area (except for West springdale). You can also find a lot more grocery stores.

Our number 1 Asian market is in Springdale. We only get there a time or two a year, but when we do, it is wonderful.

bUmPiTy BuMpInG this to hear more about Springdale, since the houses there are cheaper. I saw a cute little neighborhood almost right across from the Tyson headquarters. Well kept and modest, no one was parking on their yard or had anything unkempt. But I don't want to hear boom boxes rolling along every night or see tagging.
