these locally produced dance shows were a hoot. We were on one in either Durham or Raleigh and it was fun and we were encouraged to laugh and smile..not like these kids who looked like they were in mourning!
The Stroll was fun with lots of other things to do besides what these kids did. I graduated from high school in 64 so this show in 58 probably didn't have much more than robots doing exactly what they were told. Glad my classmates were a little less restricted and had more fun. We were the beginning of the Baby Boomers and things changed with our generation.

I just caught on TV the original 1962 film West Side Story. Have seen it many times but the stellar choreography still gets me. The large group scenes are so original, seemingly disorganized but actually organized holistic formations.
