What if the laws themselves are harassment and oppression?

Then you relocate to another country where you can escape harrasment and oppression.

It's a fair question. Some laws are bad laws. So what do YOU think? Is it better to ignore the law and do whatever you please, or is it better to get involved and try to get the law repealed?

No it's better to go to court and get it dismissed. In our situation, I'm attempting to have it thrown out on racial profiling. Of the 67 Counties in FL, Citrus is the whitest.....FHP knows this. If that trooper didn't issue a single ticket at that sting site to a minority, he's in the wrong.

What if none of the minorities were speeding?

I thought we were talking about not wearing a seatbelt. I take it from your answer that you were cited for this? I thought it was your passenger but whatever. How in the world do you get from not wearing a seatbelt=ticket to racial profiling? Seriously, I am interested in hearing the basis for this claim.

When I say "our", I'm referring to my g/f who I told to take it to court. It's really trivial at this point as she is going to lay down and feed the bears $116.

I don't blame the FHP for selecting Citrus to conduct their sting operations after all we don't have too many Donte Morrises or Hydra Lacys running around up here and I think FHP is well aware of that.

You'd be better off hoping the trooper doesn't show for court. No offense, but your current argument is ridiculous.

That's pretty funny..

I always said the strip between the FL/GA border and Lake City on I-75 was nothing more then a drag strip..
