I didn't know what forum to put this in as Gainesville isn't listed. I am completely unfamiliar with anything north of Tampa (and all of north Florida for that matter) and don't have any idea of where to look to stay. My class is for a certification for my new job that starts in the fall. It runs from June 18th to July 6th.

Can anyone give me ideas of where to look to stay (other than craigslist)? I know Gainesville isn't that big of an area, and I do know that some college student may be looking to sublease. Cost is somewhat of a concern so this is why I am trying to find something other than a regular hotel. Maybe an extended stay with weekly rates is something I can consider.

A sublease via Craigslist would be easiest and most cost efficient. There is a sizable grad student population in Gainesville so you won't be stuck with choosing between nasty, undergrad housing if that's your concern.

Agree. For three weeks just get a weekly hotel. There is one off 75 that is in a normal area.
