Hello everyone. I'm a Respiratory Therapist and i am considering moving to the Lakeland area. I've done a little research on some hospitals in the area (most specifically Lakeland Regional). Can anyone give me some advice on which hospitals in the area have good reputations? good to work at? Also, I specialize in NICU, do any of the hospitals in the area have a level 3 NICU, or just Winnie Palmer in Orlando?

To find another Level III NICU, you'll have to head west to the Tampa Bay area. Lakeland (currently) is Level II NICU only but with the massive $400 million phase I hospital expansion on the horizon and partnerships with Clark & Daughtery Medical group and the merging campuses of LRMC and Watson Clinic, a Level III NICU transition may be in the works.

They had a story regarding the LRMC-USF deal in the paper today. Once it's all said and done, that deal is going to be huge for the region, Lakeland in particular.

Mikefour. I will also be moving to the Lakeland area as a Respiratory Therapist. Did you move yet? If so, were you able to secure a position. Thank You.
