THANKS for the replies.

And yes, I do understand the entire state has heat and humidity in July and August.

HOWEVER, from north to south Florida runs approx. 565 miles with water on each side and the heat and humidity level does vary in different locations.

I'd stay on the east coast for the sea breeze and get as far north as possible, say Fernandina Beach. Beach towns on the Atlantic coast are often 10 degrees cooler than interior or west coast towns in the summer months.

I know, the whole state is hot and humid, but somewhere is has to be somewhat comfortable in July and August. ;-)

Thanks,
Why dont you move to a state north of Florida, why does it always have to be FL? You know its going to be hot and humid, the whole east coast is pratically hot and humid in the summer, you can avoid it in the mountains in NC/SC in the summer.

Thanks,
I inhabit the grand city of Miami, and I find it extremely comfortable all year. If you dislike warm and humid temperatures please do us a favor and stay away from Florida, because we cannot tolerate one more person crying about the summer weather.

It is hot and it is humid and it is wonderful! Before we moved from Maine everyone warned us about the heat and humidity and insects etc in Florida.....we visited in different seasons....and decided that we fared better in the heat and humidity than in the freezing ice and snow and sub zero temps of Maine.

It really is a state of mind. I say that, assuming good air conditioning in Florida and a good cozy heat source in Maine.

As an aside....in Maine we didn't hve A/C and we were uncomfortably hot many a day and night....because of the central A/C here and a pool on the lanai......no complaints.

We live in Ft Myers....not on the coast.

Bro, go to North Bay, Ontario is you want to avoid heat and humidity. The mere fact that you're even asking this question indicates you should not come to Florida in July and August because you will be miserable.

Man, if you were were uncomfortably hot in Maine and thought you needed an A/C, I can't even believe you moved to Florida.

LOL I know but......Last year there was one summer day when there was only 1 degree difference between Bangor and Tampa. Maine has lots of hot humid summer days....and without a/c they are something to complain about.

Floating around Moosehead on a tube solves that problem nicely.
