Good Evening~ I am writing in hopes of getting some insight on moving our family to Cape Coral. My husband and I are in our 40's with 2 children, ages 7 & 11 y.o. \

We know of the area of Del Prado and Four Mile Cove Pkwy (Cape Coral) as we have a winter condo there and have visited frequently.

Our question is that as we have been in Cape Coral, we have not seen a whole lot of children in the area- We have been directed to SW Cape (near Tarpon Point) and West of the area for neighborhoods that have children/families/get-togethers and in all an area where our children would have other children to play with and we (parents) would have other families to get-together with.

We really LOVE the area and would likewise LOVE to move our family there but our REALLY asking for some inside information for area(s) that we can "feel at home with other families that like to get together and have our children play and just feel comfortable"…….Of course, we love to go out and experience new restaurants, watch ball games and all the area has to offer, but being home is worth a million…….

We would love to hear from any and all…….

p.s., We have moved from our home state of Minnesota to Arizona and loved the area and met some really nice life-long friends and have never doubted our decision but since we have been back in Minnesota and are ready and willing to make another move, we just wanted to put our thoughts & questions out there in hopes of getting in contact with you on further information.

THANK YOU!! We look forward to hearing the advice and suggestions coming our way…

Hi Kas1971,

We are moving to Cape Coral in March from Grand Rapids. We have a 9 and 12 year old, and we were able to get them into Oasis Charter schools. We have purchased a home on the SW side, and from all the research we've done, it is the best place for kids. We are excited about our move, and we are hoping to meet families with children as well. We are in our 40s, and would love to meet you if you should decide to move to Cape Coral. Good luck in your research. Nancy and Chris

Hi~ Thank you for responding……Good Luck with your move! We are still researching the area but are getting the same feedback that SW Cape is the place to be. Our 7 yo daughter is freaking out about moving and leaving her friends……which I am a little nervous as well- we have a great neighborhood here and lot's of kids and do a lot with the families in the neighborhood. I would be excited to hear from you once you move to the area and let me know your thoughts….

My daughter and I are headed back down at the end of March to check the area out again…..

Please keep in touch if possible- Thank you!
Shelly & JP
