I've lived in a few different parts of south FL and I'm looking to move to a different part one day. I have no family here, most of them are in GA, really nothing is keeping me here and I just want a new start. I was thinking north central Florida or the panhandle. What are the areas and cities up there in the Northern part like?

I'm a 21 y/o female and it would most likely be just myself. I'm single, not in college now, and work from home. I don't know exactly what I'm looking for, I just want to get some info on different areas.

I would like to be about 20 or so minutes from the city. I do like the country side and more peaceful neighborhoods, but not too deserted. This is going to sound crazy but I would like an area maybe known for having nice men? (Lol), there's not many single men where I'm at and I haven't had much luck. An area that's a great fit for the younger people like myself and has a lot of things for us to do. One last thing would be a good college within a reasonable commute so that I could go back to school and finish my degree if I wanted to one day.

I would opt more for the Tampa area. The people are noticeably nicer than Central Florida and you could be within close proximity to the University of South Florida once ready to resume classes. Check out areas like Wesley Chapel and New Tampa which are fairly close to USF but are "lower density" suburbs in terms of population for the most part.

I second Tampa. My 20 year old daughter just moved to the Tampa Palms area of New Tampa to attend USF. Tampa Palms is hardly country-side but it is very green and well planned. It is located just north of USF. Her apartment complex is a mix of students and non-students and the students seem to be a little older than normal.

MacDill Air Force base brings a lot of young men to the Tampa area so your luck should improve!
