......no more negative or lying Crist/Scott ads? Makes my stomach turn.

I want my regular annoying commercials back. You know, the tacky kind with the girl in plaid dancing and singing bad in front of some clunker of a car.....in which case they can all say it's a Florida car.

Its America, its election time, the media likes to really play it up, its what it is. Just think after this mid term the big push to the 2016 election will ramp up.Resistance is futile

I'd rather watch HUGE Billy and Caroline than this concentration of excess of negative ads.

The bi-annual slapping match between local politicians Maria Sachs and Ellyn Bogdanoff has become something of an autumn tradition at my house. I don't even live in the district they fight over, but we're subjected to their smack-talk regardless. Not since the yearly Alexis/Krystle slugfests on Dynasty has tasteless mudslinging by otherwise respectable grown women been seen on my TV. Linda Evans and Joan Collins would be proud.

It is so annoying.

Are these commercials really even effective?
Like, who actually is swayed by them? Both candidates suck the big one.... and when says this, while the other says that. It's so trite and exhausting. I wish they both could lose and just disappear and some under dog candidate surprises everyone and wins...... and bye bye to charlie and rick. ugh!

This election season, it appears that any pretense of even mentioning what one candidate WILL DO better than another - has 'gone by the boards.' The focus of all of the candidates seems to be to tell voters why they should NOT vote for their opponent.

Of course, this may be more a reflection of the discretion/wisdom shown by the public in voting! (For example, a major news program the other night asked young college-age people who the Vice President and/or Secretary of State were ... and it was absolutely jaw-dropping to see how many had absolutely no idea that it was Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi! (Seriously, most of them had NO idea whatsoever ... and others acted like they thought it was ridiculous to expect anyone to know the answer to such 'difficult' questions).

I share a tv market with Alabama where one third of the state's economy comes from people sueing each other and I'd rather watch the Jay Casey law firm commercial 100 times with my eyeballs wedged open Clockwork Orange-style than see any more Florida political ads. (And for the locals who sometimes want to make the Panhandle part of Alabama, remember that this is what you would get.)

I still see more commercials for Prescription Drugs versus FL Gov commercials. I'll take the political commercials over the Rx commercials.
