I'm trying to decide whether to relocate to Orlando/Lake Nona area or Panama City. I have two small children so looking for family friendly place, good schools, job opportunities, good quality of living, etc. Which city is best?

Kind of apples to oranges here. Orlando is a bustling metropolis. Panama City is the exact opposite. What exactly makes you pick these two locations?

As someone who lives in the Panhandle, I'd say that Orlando has a lot more to offer a family.

Do you get along with his family? If not living there around his mama and them has the potential to be a hell-trip. It a much smaller town than Orlando, and you get tourist traffic in the spring and summer which can be annoying. If you want a slower pace of life PC would work.

You've picked two of the last places I would have chosen, and I've lived in both cities. Family friendly doesn't mean that much to me, other than it usually means white, republican and ultra conservative on these forums. Sounds awful. We like St Pete a lot, but it's diverse racially and liberal, so probably not for you. I'm thinking you would like Port Orange or other places in Volusia county.

Huh??? Seminole County is one of the top places to raise a family IMO... and then places like Dr Philips and Winderemere, Oviedo... they're hotbeds for family-raising.
