As the title indicates Florida is currently enjoying the longest hurricane drought in it's recorded history at just over 10 years. The State typically has 1 land falling hurricane per year(.7 per year)with the last hurricane landfall occurring on October 24,2005 by Category 3 Hurricane Wilma. So the Question is do you think it will end this year.

The weather patterns off of Africa are making a crummy surfing summer and that is where hurricanes form. There are no predictions for a hurricane getting anywhere near the US mainland and we almost through the season.

We haven't even reached the halfway point of the season which is September 12 Not to mention that there are 2 potential storms over the Atlantic

I would not tempt fate either way by speculating on this.
We do know the hurricane "drought" as you call it will be ended at some point. That is all we know.

The Atlantic gets active every year at this time, whether or not any of those systems ever make it to any land.

Not to be a curmudgeon but who cares what random people guess regarding what will happen this hurricane season. It's like asking if you think it will rain in a month. It's not an opinion which would be relevant, it's a just a guess (unless someone is a climatologist - and even they don't have a great track record).
