I'm moving back to Florida with 4 yr old and 1 yr. My husband will be deployed for a year. I'm originally from polk county so I'm somewhat familiar with the area. I'm looking for a safe neighborhood in lakeland that is kid friendly. My 4 yr old will start prek so I would like to be close by a good school for her. Do you have any recommendations for apartments and schools in Lakeland? My budget is no more than 1300 a month. I lived in Carlton Arms in Winter Haven before. I liked the environment of the apartments but I would prefer to live in Lakeland. Lakeland has more things to do but I feel like Winter Haven is safer.

The north side around I-4/Lake Gibson/Lakeland Square Mall seems more preferable to me and has some nice options in your price range. Apartments for Rent and Rentals - Free Apartment Finder | ApartmentGuide.com
