A trailer in the woods in the panhandle isn't a nice home, nor will it have an inground pool, nor is it near the coast. Fail x3.

Thats only your prejudicial subjective opinion about Trailers (Mobile Homes) in the woods as well as The Panhandle ; you do not set the standards --- whats not nice to you may be very suitable to someone else . No one should fall into the trap of living for your applause. The OP didnt give a dollar range of the home he is looking to rent out, therefore you are a bit presumptuous. The OP didnt make any mention of 'an inground pool' ...he said 'pool' . WHere I am IS close to the coast ...just 40 minutes . Prejudice x3 .

Come on, it was obvious that he wasn't looking for a TRAILER (whatever you want to call it ) in the woods. That is not what European vacationers are looking for when they come to rent a property in the US--which he stated was his target market. He was obviously lookigng for a fairly upscale area Moderator cut: Flaming

preferably something under 300k but the ones over 300k if they have good kerb appeal could also sell very well.

The thing is about zoning and fees. If I cannot rent weekly I am not interested as that is what makes the returns interesting. Also skylinet pointed out some of them have crazy fees:

to quote

"Are you ok with paying membership dues? Two of the properties have at least 35k membership equity due. "

WTF is that?
Some of the homes you sent me are in golf course/country club communities where you will have to pay membership dues to be part of the community. Which in some cases is why the house seems to good to be true. I'll go through those and see what has those dues and what doesn't. Also keep in mind that realtor.com usually lists the total square footage including garage, paitos etc. So a house that is listed as 3000 square feet may indeed only be more like 2300 under air conditioning.

OP, Please excuse the pride and arrogance of some of our Florida residents ; not all of us are like that. Regardless of what youre looking for, we hope you have a nice vacation here and that you dont run into snooty/higher-than-thou pretentious folks while enjoying yourself. And , visit The Panhandle .

Sorry, but I don't consider myself snooty or pretentious because I can read what the guy was looking for instead of offering advice on some fixer-upper trailer in an area he wasn't even considering. Based on the proerties he listed that he was interested in, it seems that I'm quite correct in my statements. Now go back to your trailer and shoot a couple squirrels for dinner.
