Well, you must know everything then. I for one am shocked and surprised.
I recommend Food, Inc to watch. You'll be very surprised on what you learn after watching that. It also hits how those burger patties are produced. It changed how I see all food, not just meat.
The site you linked to seems to be very agenda driven, and biased against a lot of things (big business, HFCS, etc...). I'm pretty much against most of those things too, but I wonder if anyone has verified the source of these statements?
My guess it that they probably do use some "byproduct", but that it is also probably sensationalized in this article. I'm not calling it false, just saying you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet, or anywhere else. If you really care, then look into it more.
For me, I know that fast food is not exactly the beacon of good health. I will eat a McDouble on very rare occasion, but for me, the best strategy is to eat food that I prepared, or that "someone" prepared. It's healthier, cheaper, and it helps me keep my weight and budget under control. I don't do this for any other reason than "it works for me"....
Not exactly sure what I'm trying to say, other than "check it out, and think for yourself..."

None of the companies are denying, look at the quotes. I'm as skeptical as the next person, but this is pretty cut and dry.
Geeze! Now I remember why I quit eating fast food years ago!
