I haven't eaten one in a while, so i don't even know what brands are making them nowdays. Any suggestions on a good one out there? I plan to buy some for my trip overseas in the near future. Thanks.

Most countries will not let you bring fruit/veggies or meat in, that includes jerky. Your odds of getting caught are quite small, but it probably isn't worth the headache that you'd have if customs does find it.

That's what i thought, but my Aunt told me she brought a couple of fruits on the plane and they didn't have a problem with it a few months ago when she showed it to them at security. I plan to only have a bag or two and will probably eat it on the plane as snack.

My mom also tried to bring vacuum sealed salami from Europe back, and well, it never made it, and in return they open all your items etc.
If youre going to do it, don't open the bag beforehand, and probably bag it twice, and put it in an easy to access spot

I love jerky. Is that Houston, TX where you're from? I live in Austin. I have a great hidden secret for you, which I just discovered last month. Is there by any chance a Cabella's store by where you live? If so, go up to the food court section and outside of it they should have Jeff Foxworthy's brand of jerky. It's probably the best I ever had and it's also pretty resonably priced. (well, for jerky, that is; you know how damn expensive that stuff is!)
