I haven't thought of chow-chow in years. My grandmother used to love it. I don't even recall ever eating any of it. I think my mother-in-law used to make it as well. I remember her talking about it.
As I recall it's more like a relish made of various vegetables including onions, peppers, and tomatoes, maybe. I think my grandparents would eat it with meats such as ham and with things like pinto beans, or black-eyed peas.
Cheers for clearing that up! I think shall have to converse with that grandmother of mine and see if she knows what it is? Then force her to make me some!
