I got my 12 pack home and paniced thinking I had accidently bought Diet Coke. Used to the can now and it's actually quite pretty. I still prefer the more recognizable red can. I confuse easily the older I get and prefer not to have curves thrown to me.
I have all the cans collected up on the shelf, 6 or 8 from years past, and I am moving soon,
Will I be able to sell those ? I know people like to buy the collectable Bottles, but is there a market for the cans ?
We had some for Thankgiving. I remember buying them and getting tripped up for a few seconds reading and rereading the box to make sure it wasn't diet.
It did look a little too much like diet. Coke is so general in looks. Regular is red, diet is silver so at this point, years and years later most just glance and grab not having to double check. So I can see why people would be PO'ed.
Most of my family stayed clear of the cokes because they all thought they were diet at first glance.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The red cans worked. Just bring back the Coke bottle polar bear commercials to raise awareness. I miss those bears.
Maybe I should clarify... I work with diabetics who are also psychiatric patients and many times can be confused.
Obviously, your thought is not all encompassing.
We just brought in a new vending company. During a one hour lunch time, we had at least five people buy a Coca-Cola and think that they had received a Diet Coke.
Why they want to create such brand confusion is a mystery to me.
I understand the confusion at first glance, but it TASTES differently???? Are you serious???
