What is your favorite fish to use? Or even prawns/shrimp?
Tilipia is used a lot but there are better choices.

What do you put in them? I.E. green/red cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, salsa, 1000 island dressing or

Corn or flour tortilla? Soft or hard?

My favorite fish are:
Rockfish aka "Snapper to some people". The West coast Black Rockfish is #1 to me. Then the Reds and or Ling Cod.

Mahi is a tradional fish, and if I can get it really fresh is a top favorite.

Any Gulf/East coast white fish are ++++ for tacos.

Fresh salmon when I can get it.

I also make fried oyster tacos.

I usually use corn tortillas just heated not crusty..

Ok, next week it is on the menu.!

Good eats ya'all.

HW and Happy Trails.

My favorite fish for tacos is halibut.

Its ultra low fat content make it great for deep frying with a batter for traditional Baja style tacos.

All the traditional condiments apply.

Tried once and they were not great. I used red snapper. I love fish tacos and will rejoice when I have a good recipe. Unfortunately, one of the top-rated recipes on my favorite site, Allrecipes.com, uses fish sticks. That can't be right.

I'd be crazy to. There is an awesome Mexican seafood truck about a three minute walk from my house that makes especially tasty ones for a dollar a piece! - with a small side of seafood chowder thrown in while you wait the four or five minutes to make 'em fresh. When I'm feeling especially gluttonous I spend three whole dollars.

Hate that! I remember when I first moved here I said to myself "a fish taco???" now I could live on them! And the cheap hole in the wall dives or trucks are so much better than a chain like Rubios.

When my brother comes down to visit from the mountains of N. CA he is at that darn truck a couple of times a day to get his fix. He just can't believe that something so good is that cheap!

I'll use just about any white fish, breaded or not. I like both corn and flour tortillas. We'll usually have it with cabbage, onion, tomatoes, guac, and sour cream mixed with taco seasoning for a chipotle sauce.
