Well, looks like the era of the Twinkie is over:

Anyone going to miss the classic Twinkies, Cupcakes, Ding Dong and Ho Hos, or perhaps even the classic Wonder Bread?

Well.... if you stock up on the Twinkies now, you can still enjoy them for at least another 20 years.

I certainly will not, except for the nostalgia part.....

Well, they ruined them somewhere along the way, so they aren't very good anymore anyway.

Those snacks were always gross. Good riddance.

Someone else will buy out the company, and hire non-union employees (probably a lot of the hostess employees).

I will miss the cupcakes with the cream in the middle, otherwise I have not eaten their snacks in years. However, many a school age child still has them bless their lunch box.

We were rarely allowed to have Hostess treats as kids. (Besides, my Mom's homemade cakes/cookies, etc. were 200% better than any store-bought variety!). I can probably count on one hand how many Twinkies I've had in my life. So....I won't miss them. I can't say the same for the Little Debbie dessert snacks---I like a lot of the desserts of that brand. But I am sure the Little Debbie's cakes are just as bad for you as the Hostess.

No, they were always terrible. Most likely your tastebuds just matured to the point that you finally realized that.

I never liked twinkies but I sure loved the cupcakes and ding dongs as a kid. I probably haven't had either in about 30+ years though. My kids never liked them at all so I never had an excuse to have them in the house! Kind of like Oreo's. Once my oldest left home 6 years ago, I haven't been able to buy them because he was the only other person in the house that ate them. No excuse to buy them.
