I saw that a little earlier today. No surprise. Told my husband about it, and we figure between us, we've had fewer than a dozen Twinkies in our lives. Neither of us ever really liked them, I guess.

Now, the chocolate cupcakes, on the other hand ....

I rank on Twinkies but....they're good! I haven't had one in years and years, but it's good to know that I could have one if I wanted to. Glad they're back.

I was thinking the same thing. Loved the cupcakes. Never really cared for Twinkies.

LOL. Me three. I do have to say though, I bought a package a while back and they seem to taste different now. The cake was really dry. Maybe I got a stale one but not the taste I had remembered.

That's what happened the last time I had one, too. My mom had gotten a package, and offered me one. Bleh. I like Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpets better.

When I heard Hostess was closing, I was sad because I really did like the cupcakes, even though I hadn't eaten one in quite some time.

I have a new cookbook with a recipe for a cream filled cupcake that calls for almond flour. I might try it out. I enjoy baking for my friends and a couple of neighbors really like it when I get into my "baking mood." Besides, nothing is better than a homemade cupcake.

The only thing I like are the cupcakes with the white swirl and coffee cakes, you can keep the rest.
