I having dogs tonight. I like mustard down one side of a warmed bun, then add the weiner (boiled to plump first in water, then added to the heating chili). After the hot dogs go in the buns, I then spoon on the warmed chili, then add sweet pickle relish, chopped onions and maybe some grated cheese. Sometimes I'll have 'kraut on them if I have any. My hotdogs I have to eat with a fork because you can't see the buns for being smothered in chili.

This reminds me of how we used to load them up when I was growing up, including the 'kraut. One night, just for fun, my aunt and I completely loaded up one for my Mom... minus the wiener.

Of course, we kept watching, trying to hide our snickering... but she kept on eating it! It wasn't until she'd already eaten half of it that she finally realized there was no weiner in it, lol! Later she said she wondered where it was... and kept thinking she'd get to it in the next bite!

I like an all beef hot dog. I usually dress it in a couple of different ways.

1. With mustard (NO ketchup), chopped yellow onions and freshly slice jalapenos
2. Just a hot dog in a bun with spicy kim chee

When I get the chance, I love this place that serves Chicago Style dogs. Man, they're tasty.

I had one called the Joe DiMaggio tonight that had cheese and bacon on it on a poppy seed bun. Really good. Didn't see the mustard on the table til I had only a bite left.
