Geezzzz...this is getting confusing. 1st butter was bad for us and margarine was best and now just the opposite
then sugar was bad and artificial sweeteners were good and now just the opposite

same for milk, oils, and lots of other things ...now it's cholesterol.

It isn't confusing, never has been. Moderation and variety along with common sense.

Its been that way for a very long time unless one goes with the diet of the day or think the government needs to raise your family.

Yeah, when cholesterol was a villain, mine was always well above 200, peaking at 360 in 1974.

And now that it ain't so bad, it has ranged between 138 and 160 the past five years.

No medication for it, now or back then.

Whole foods are good, fake foods are bad. Nothing about that has ever changed, regardless of what "they" say.

Refined processed sugar is still not good under any circumstances. Actually anything that is processed is not good. White rice, white flour, white sugar etc. are not really "good" for anything. You can live on them but that's not saying much.

i just read an article the other day in a Sunday supliment in our paper. It mentioned little if any correlation between cholesteral numbers and heart trouble. I have come to the conclusion we simple need to do what we want in moderation and stop worrying. What science knows today, they change their mind on tomorrow.
