It's a mix...I tend to bring from home most days....but every couple of weeks we go out to lunch.
That being said I also live close enough ( less than 2 miles) that I can run home for lunch if I want...which I do at least once a week (Though today it's more for turning on the crock pot with the beef I started last night to finish cooking for dinner tonight.)
I make 4 salads on Sunday and bring one every day for lunch. I keep salad dressing here. I only have half an hour, AND it's too expensive to eat out, AND I'm always watching my weight, so a salad daily it is!
Thankfully I am close enough to go home for lunch, which I prefer. With other jobs I always packed a lunch and occasionally got fast food. Usually fruit, yogurt, crackers, chips, ect.
My husband on the other hand never wanted to pack a lunch, but he was a manager at a grocery store. He would just grab something quick on break.
Do you prefer to bring lunch to work, either something cooked or prepared foods like frozen dinners, or go out to eat? Or a mix of both depending on how you feel?
I seem to go through phases. Not too long ago, I was diligent about bringing relatively healthy foods to work that I cooked, like chicken and brown rice. That lasted for a couple of months.
The past month though I've slacked off and go out somewhere for food, or eat at the company cafeteria as they have decent food for good prices. When I go off site there's a wide variety of choices but I usually go to Panda Express or Chipotle.
A bit of both.... I'll go home to have lunch about 3 days....and the others, I just don't eat lunch! If I eat out, it's because someone I'm with wants to...
