My family loves kiwis but they are a pain to peel with their paperthin skin. Then I saw on a tv show people eating halved kiwis with a spoon.

Just tried it now and easy peasy. Now I just cut several in half and serve with spoons.

Another spoon trick is to peel fresh ginger with a spoon. That way you don't have any waste.

Nice to know. Here is another way using a glass.

As for the ginger, I use a vegetable peeler. I have not tried the spoon method.

Ooh nice trick with the glass. The spoon on the ginger is great with all the knobs without cutting yourself.

I use a spoon for mangoes...cut off the two sides of the mango, then cut a grid in the fruit, but not through the skin. Then just use a spoon to scrape the cubes off the skin.

Thats how I do it as well.

Kiwi's a just take a sharp pairing knife to slice off the skin, I've never had a problem doing it that way.

Avocado I use a spoon. And thinking about it, I think I've used a spoon with kiwi as well by slicing off the ends and running a spoon between the skin and the fruit.

I cut the ends off, then slice it lengthwise about 75% of the way through. Then slice it across into slices. You end up with two "halves" of a slice that are still attached. It's very easy to eat.

I don't peel 'em...I cut into quarters and eat 'em down to the skin!
I eat oranges that way too.....or stick the 1/4 orange in my mouth
and walk around with an 'orange smile ' for awhile...
Can't remember why ....but kiwis are super good for us!
Like some miracle good food.

IMPRESSIVE video!
