Looks like he would have a heart attack after drinking so much Caffeine.
DALLAS (Reuters) - It took a Texas man five days to polish off what has been hailed as one of the most expensive drinks produced at Starbucks, a several-thousand calorie frozen concoction that included 60 shots of espresso and was topped with whipped cream.
"It was delicious, very strong, very sweet," Andrew Chifari said on Thursday. "After the first day, the ice crystals had melted and it was just good strong iced coffee."

A heart attack or something! It does sound good though. I would think that by drinking it over a five day time period it wouldn't be so bad? That would still average out to 12 shots a day though, I guess. Yikes! I see people buying those 5 hour energy drinks and wonder why. If I drank one of those they'd be pulling me down from the rafters! I have so much natural energy I don't need any artificial 'stuff'.
Glad that man was smart enough to not drink it up that day and took a sip every few hours. He's probably a hardcore caffeine addict and can handle more than most people, same as a hardcore drunk can drink a bottle of vodka in a day.
At a Starbucks average of 15 grams per double shot, that's 450 grams of espresso, or barely short of one pound of coffee. For one drink.
On a three group espresso machine, each portafilter making two shots, that's 10 cycles for 60 shots. Include grinding and tamping and that drink probably took 45 minutes to make, unless there were multiple baristas assigned to it.
Putting aside the fact that it's a stupid idea, I sure hope the guy wasn't rude enough to order that thing while the shop was busy. Could you imagine being behind him in line and waiting 45 minutes to place your order?
No way could I drink that. A regular Caramel Macchiato gets me wired enough - too wired. I have to order decaf. I'd be scared to imagine what the effects of drinking that ginormous espresso would be.
I'm sure it would have killed me. I can't handle high doses of caffeine.
