I can't speak to In N Out, but between Five Guys and Shake Shack, Five Guys, no contest.

You might think that, but no, not in my experience.

My sole experience with Shake Shake was on the upper east side, where somebody I was with was insistent that we go, because this was a lifechanging burger place. Such a long line and so crowded that people were eating in the outside seating area...at the end of December in a blizzard. So I was like, "Wow, this must really be great." When I got my food, so disappointed that I'd waited in a line out the door in the snow for it. Just, no.

Never even heard of a Shake Shake. Been to both In-N-Out and Five Guys and it isnt even close. In-N-Out wins by several miles.

There are two Five Guys in my general area - Studio City and Northridge. Ive never seen more than one or two customers in the Studio City location, and Northridge, being in a high traffic college area, about the same. In-N-Out burgers are ALWAYS packed. ALWAYS long lines both inside and in drive through.

So its not just me favoring In-N-Out, its most people in my area.

Had to Google Shake Shack and they arent even a player because they dont have any locations in California so to me they are non-existent.

This is me and In N Out. I don't really visit the few states in which they are located, so they're not even factors in the equation.

I don't like 5 guys, their burgers are dry and chunky. I've never heard of shake shack and never been to in and out. So none for me.

Here I do like either smashburgers or cookout.

I've ate at all 3, and They are all different.

Shake Shack( by a nose, their french fry's are better than in&Out)
In & out
Five Guys
