It is extremely hot here too. I'm thinking about just having cold ham and cheese sandwiches and fresh fruit.

Honestly, on a 100-degree plus day, the last place you will EVER find me is anywhere near a hot grill. No, thank you.

Is your entire Summer 100 degrees plus days? I would move. No way I would deal with that!

Yeah, I would consider it early in the morning and then reheating it for dinner. Or even having it chilled over salad. I had to go out so I picked up some shrimp. Will boil it outside on the grill (and run back inside!) and serve it chilled in a few recipes I am still mulling over. Other than toast this morning, I have not eaten a single thing. Just not hungry at all!

With temps like these, its been way to hot to turn on the stove. I just been buying things to make sandwiches with and microwavable meals. If I cook anything during this heatwave, it will be very early in the morning or very late at night.

my ice cream consumption really goes up during the summer in the evenings

some cool jello with mixed fruit also goes well during a hot day

I also tend to eat more cold milk & cereal on hot days & nights

I stocked up on my frozen fruit bars. I have mango, pineapple/coconut, coconut milk and taro. Ooh that's a great idea on the jello! I haven't had that in years.

In AZ we keep our toaster ovens and crock pots outside on the deck or porch. That way they don't heat up the house.

I also have a BBQ with a burner on the side so can cook there and then head back into the cool indoors.
