Love them chicken sandwiches, a weekly treat

Chick-fil-A crushes fast food competition - Houston Chronicle

Quote:
Southern institution Chick-fil-A keeps on growing. The chicken chain outperforms the competition in sales per restaurant, a new QSR report shows.

The report lists Chick-fil-A as the No. 8 quick-service brand in the country. But that’s an impressive feat when the ninth-ranked brand Pizza Hut (7,337) has almost four times as many stores as Chick-fil-A (1,887). Fried chicken rival KFC placed 11th in countrywide sales, despite more than twice the number of stores as Atlanta-based Chick-Fil-A.

I'm not surprised, KFC and Pizza Hut are both horrible. I'm interested where Shake Shack, Golden Krust, and Five Guys lie on the sales scale, they're the best tasting chains I think

We have only eaten at 5 Guys once and were not impressed at all, but many are, I know. If they had been 1/2 the price maybe. I have never heard of Shake Shack, I don't think they are one of the larger national chains, the same with Golden Krust.

Shake Shack has about 25 locations around the world. They went public a few months ago and are quickly plating locations in all the "hot locations".

Another Wall Street favorite.

Golden Krust is a 50 unit chain of Caribbean themed fast food restaurants, mostly located in NYC and Florida.

Although I don't eat much meat at all, I frequent Chick-Fil-A often as they have awesome salads, great lemonade, and terrific waffle fries... but that pales in comparison to how they actually have happy employees making/serving the food which has significance to me.

I haven't hit a McD's or Wendy's or BK in ages as their food not only contains the absolute cheapest/worst for you ingredients (especially in the US), but employees usually seem unhappy. I'm just not keen on unhappy people making my food... I think some of that negative energy absorbs into it in one way or another.

I am not surprised. Chik fil a is simply delicious! I love getting the spicy chicken deluxe meal with a chocolate shake. And the great customer service doesn't hurt.

Chick-Fil-A is great as far as fast food goes. I don't eat there often but I do like their chicken sandwich with the pickle. I also like their lemonade and their waffle fries. Their customer service is excellent and that is what really sets them leaps and bounds above the competition.

I've had chick-fil-a many times, and I still don't understand what all the buzz is about.

The food is good, but it's nothing life-shattering...

I agree. I like it but it's not something that I crave or will go out of my way to get.

Ugh really? I will take KFC, Popeye's, or Bojangle's over Chik-Fil-A any day. I haven't been in a long time because when I do I wind up with dry chicken with too much fat and cartilage. Their waffle fries are addicting but that's it. Do they just have lower prices than KFC?
