Silicone pan liners work great for sticky stuff like this. They make them in standard sheet pan sizes and other sizes too.
I have one that I've used for peanut brittle and it worked great. Nothing stuck and clean up was quick. As far as I know it's considered safe by the FDA, so it won't leech chemicals or anything like that.
m not concerned about chemicals.......when the aliens do finally come to earth again.....they will take the cleanest folks first to feed themselves (the vegans and organic people) they wont want me at all
Forgot to say, after you get whatever off that you can get off the pan, just fill it with warm water and a drop of dish soap and let it soak overnight. The sugar will dissolve and the pan will be easy to clean.
