My friends, I just polished off a pint of ice cream from this company:

https://www.halotop.com/

And the damage was, drum roll please, 280 calories!

Yes, one pint, one serving, 280 calories.

It does contain 28 grams of sugar which is bad, but still, compare it to your typical Ben and Jerry's, way better if you want to have a cheat meal.

And I had the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor, delish!

It contains something called erythritol, and "itol" products make me nervous. I ate Life Savers with sorbitol for a couple of weeks during the 1980s, and it made me feel like there was an avalanche going on in my digestive tract. I had no idea candy, especially "sugar free" candy, could have such an effect, so I didn't even know enough to stop eating them until I described what was happening to a friend who'd had a similar experience.

I shall try Halo, though. I've seen it at two stores.

Sugar alcohol right?

I admit sometimes my digestive system is susceptible to those things, but so far so good, no issues yet!

Funny, I'm finishing a pint as we speak.

Though now I feel a bit shameful.

Finishing it is fine; the pertinent factor is when you started it.

Spouse likes to eat all but about one spoonful, then puts it in the freezer...that way (in his mind), he didn't eat the whole thing...
