Promotion will last through 'home stretch of winter'

Dunkin'—formerly known as Dunkin' Donuts—says it is offering its fans a "little extra boost" to get through the "home stretch of winter." The chain says it is introducing "Free Coffee Mondays" from Feb. 1 through to Feb. 22, Delish reports.

it's hardly free.....

Members of the DD Perks loyalty program can get a free medium hot coffee with any purchase if they order through the Dunkin' app or have their loyalty code QR code scanned at the register before they pay.

Dunkin sells small mediocre donuts for $1.10-1.20 each. The Kroger store charges $0.70 for a better donut.

....and Krispy Kreme and Shipleys sell a far superior one!

And for those who don't know, Dunkin's coffee is made by Folgers.

... and, like Folgers, it is... not the best.
When I have had no other choice while on a road trip, I have occasionally gone to a DD for coffee. Unfortunately, about 30-40% of the time, I wound-up pouring it down the nearest storm sewer because it was so putrid.

Once in a while, their coffee has been... decent... but the odds of getting a really good cup of coffee at DD are... limited, in my experience.
