When it comes to orange juice can you really taste a difference?

It depends on the brands involved. Personally, I think that Kroger's frozen orange juice tastes a lot better than Minute Maid or Tropicana fresh. However, it does not taste as good as Florida Natural and Simply Orange.

My DW got so mad when Simply went from 59 oz to 52 oz that we started going to frozen and never went back. At $3+ for Simply Orange (52 oz) to $1.28 for 48 oz, that is a substantial reduction in the weekly food budget.

Absolutely! For a real treat, squeeze your own as you then get to 100% check every piece of fruit that goes into it. Now, of you are making some, could you please make mine with a squeeze of lime.☺️

Yes!!! There’s a difference between fresh squeezed juice, organic, and then juiced oranges on your own. We used to get the fresh squeezed oj from Mariano’s, it’s amazing, then I juiced my own, another dimension

Absolutely. To me, concentrate taste like crap compared to fresh.
Explained here:
https://www.livestrong.com/article/3...m-concentrate/

Orange juice made from concentrate: oranges (after pasteurization which kills enzymes and nutrients), are heated down to evaporate nearly all of the water.
Chemicals, refined sugars (most likely from GMOs if the juice is not organic), and other added flavors (aka flavor packs) are also included in the process to reconstruct what they sell as orange juice. Synthetic vitamin C is added too. Also, commercial OJ is made from whole oranges - the skin and seeds.
Flavor packs: oils and essences are extracted from the oranges and then sold to a flavor manufacturer who concocts a carefully composed flavor pack customized to the company’s flavor specifications. I am sure, you noticed that not all OJ taste the same.

Fresh, raw OJ not from concentrate is packed with natural antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and enzymes.

Not from concentrate, as long as it doesn't come from Florida! My reason, google Florida citrus canker eradication program.

Even freshly squeezed orange juice gets "stale" after a few hours in the refrigerator. I never drink orange juice (I had enough as a child growing up on a remnant of a Southern California orchard to last me the rest of my life), but if I did, I would buy oranges and squeeze them immediately before drinking. Frankly, anything refrigerated or frozen is not worthy of the name orange juice.
